I hung out with some deer today,
twice: While trail running - they bounded away. Big big white tail on one of them. While driving - it was dark and I noticed something on the side of the road so I turned on my brights, illuminating a dozen pairs of eyes. All does, a couple fawns. They ran away. Further down the road I slowed next to two does and watched from ten feet as they munched grass and looked at me. We stayed like that...

There's this park near my house
I forget where it is or what it’s called or how near, but they have deer roaming around inside a large fenced area, and they’re used to ‘uman interaction and it’s cool and weird but mostly cool. I’m going to Ontario, Canada tomorrow for the week, so I’ll be posting here about as often as I have been.
